Wall Coating Application

A sound surface is vital to the success of the treatment so preparation to the wall surface is a key part of the application procedure. We strictly follow manufacturer guidelines and our exacting standards ensure a long lasting beautiful finish on every project. Our experienced applicators follow this thorough, multi-step process:

1. Inspection

The first step we take is to inspect the outside walls of you property before work is started, thus enabling problem areas to be identified.

2. Power Washing

All areas to be coated are power washed at high pressure. This removes years of accumulated dirt, soot, mould, mildew, stains and loosely adhered paint and any other foreign substrates. This process helps to highlight any areas that need repair work.

3. Algae Treatment

If any moss or algae is found, these areas are treated with fungicidal agents that kill the spores and roots and prevent re-occurrence.

4. Repair Cracks

Cracks on the walls of your home are cut or ground open to remove any loose debris then high quality filler is used to repair damage and create a sound, uniform surface.

5. Repair Render

Areas of blown/damaged render are removed and re-rendered to match the existing surface where possible.

6. Bagging

Some surfaces of poor quality and unpainted surfaces require an additional stabilizing procedure. An SBR/Unibond Bag Coat is applied to the surface and provides exceptional stabilisation and adhesive qualities.

7. Masking

All doors, windows, drainpipes, gutters etc, and any area not to be sprayed are covered with heavy-duty paper and masking tape to prevent any overspray. Dust sheets and tarpaulin is used to cover vulnerable areas.

8. Primer Coat

A specialist primer is applied to the wall surface. This ensures an excellent bond to the substrate and a long-lasting finish.

9. Coating Application

After all preparation work is carried out, a long life protective wall coating is applied with the colour and texture specified by the customer. The wall coating is spray applied using industrial machinery for fast application and a high-quality finish.

10. Clean Up

We then carefully remove all masking and clean and tidy the site. After the work is finished. You will be asked to walk around your transformed property with the crew foreman for inspection.
